COUNTY GOES ALL OUT FOR TRUMP

Ru­ral Wayne County, about 100 miles south­west of Nashville, has roughly 23 peo­ple per square mile and is the sec­ond- largest county ge­o­graph­i­cally in Ten­nes­see. Those miles are filled with rolling hills, farm­lands, lum­ber­yards, churches and fewer than 17,000 peo­ple. More than 93% of them are white. At 86%, Wayne County had the high­est per­cent­age of Don­ald Trump vot­ers of any county in the state. The county has gone for the Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial can­di­date ev­ery elec­tion since at least 1912. Here's a look at its vot­ing break­down in the 2016 pres­i­den­tial elec­tion.
