PARENTS OF SICK BRITISH BABY RETURN TO COURT
The parents of Charlie Gard, the terminally ill British baby at the center of a trans- Atlantic appeal returned to a court here Thursday in a renewed effort to keep their son alive.
Judge Nicholas Francis on Monday gave the 11- month- old’s parents Chris Gard and Connie Yates 48 hours to present new evidence that Charlie should receive experimental treatment in the United States or another country.
Charlie suffers from a rare incurable condition called mitochondrial depletion syndrome. He has brain damage, blind and deaf and cannot breathe without a ventilator.
