The Cardinals’ health has been up and down this preseason, and even their coach was affected. Bruce Arians visited the hospital after a flare-up of diverticul­itis but was back Aug. 17.

But WR Larry Fitzgerald was sidelined with a minor knee sprain Friday night as the Cardinals struggled again on offense. Meanwhile, LB Alex Okafor (torn biceps) could require season-ending surgery unless he decides to play with the injury.

Arians is relieved to have his own health; now he needs his team to get healthy.

“I’m fine,” Arians told reporters after the 19-3 loss to the San Diego Chargers. “Just pissed.”

Rookie watch: First-round DT Robert Nkemdiche could make his debut at practice this week. Nkemdiche has been hobbled by a high ankle sprain. … Undrafted rookie S Matthias

Farley had a team-high five tackles in Friday’s loss.

Noteworthy: Offensive coordinato­r Harold Goodwin hasn’t made the most of his opportunit­y as a play-caller this preseason. The offense has scored 13 points and hasn’t scored a touchdown since early in the second quarter of the opener. … TE Troy Niklas is getting a long look with the starters as Jermaine Gresham deals with a sore back. Arians said Niklas could challenge for a starting spot. … WR John Brown remains in the concussion protocol, but he is expected to be back before the regular season begins. … Nancy Bidwill, 84, wife of longtime owner Bill Bidwill, died last week.
