Consensus line: Steelers by 7 Prediction: The Steelers are one of the NFL’s best teams, and their offensive numbers at home over the last several seasons have made them nearly unbeatable when they’re at full strength. The Vikings believe they have a good enough defense to win in this environment, but they’ll need help from the passing game to
keep up. TE Kyle Rudolph and WR Stefon Diggs (two Week 1 TDs) will need to have big games, and the Vikings will likely go after new Steelers CB Joe Haden early in the game. But it’s not easy to keep up with the Steelers over four quarters, and the arrival of OLB T.J. Watt has the Steelers feeling good about one of their problem areas last season.
uSTART: Steelers WR Martavis Bryant. Don’t panic with Bryant. It was his first game in more than a year and he showed signs of being close to breaking out. He finished with two receptions for 14 yards in Week 1, but should be able to find separation over the top of the Vikings’ secondary, as they have to focus on containing Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell.
uSIT: Despite his fast start, the rookie is on the road against a defense that allowed 57 rushing yards in Week 1.
