THE COMMON-SENSE BULL
This upbeat, rational investor will not be deterred by fear but instead will be led by fundamentals, such as a belief in the strength and resiliency of the U.S. economy.
Brian Belski, chief investment strategist at BMO Capital Markets, says putting the market in perspective and taking a common-sense, lessreactive approach suggests the bull has more room to run, perhaps years. Working in stocks’ favor are their increasing “credibility” as a source for total return via capital appreciation and dividends. When investors start losing money in bonds, “What will they buy again? Equities,” he says.
