Did the Islamic State really have a role in the U.K. attack?

The level of sophistication in carrying out the attack would suggest the suspect may have received training in bombmaking, reconnaissance and other techniques. British authorities are trying to determine what external support the bomber may have had, but investigators have not determined that any link exists between the Manchester bomber and the Islamic State.
