Katy Perry’s ‘Swish Swish’

- Maeve McDermott

Katy Perry could be singing about any number of things on her new diss track Swish Swish. Released last week, the track is Perry’s third single from her new album, Witness (after Chained

to the Rhythm and Bon Appetit), opening with the lyrics, “A tiger don’t lose no sleep / Don’t need opinions from a selfish or a sheep / Don’t you come for me, no, not today.” But already, listeners think she’s singing about Taylor Swift on the Nicki Minaj-featuring song, which marks Perry’s second new single with a hip-hop component, following her previous track Bon Appe

tit with Migos. Will Perry deliver the album of “purposeful pop” she previously promised fans, or will her much-publicized feud with Swift dominate the headlines instead? Fans will hear for themselves when Witness drops June 9.
