“I’M GLAD THEY REALIZED IT WAS ALL IN THE SPIRIT OF GOOD FUN AND NOT CRIMINAL. ... ONLY CRIME IS NOT FRYING IT AND EATING IT.”
Predators fan Jacob Waddell to “The (Nashville) Tennessean” on Wednesday after learning his criminal case for throwing a catfish on the ice during Monday’s Stanley Cup Final opener in Pittsburgh had been dismissed. Allegheny County (Pa.) District Attorney spokesman Mike Manko said in a statement that Waddell’s actions did not rise to the level of criminal charges. “The Tennessean” website called it a case of “Catch and release.”
