Drake’s ‘Signs’
From dropping surprise mixtapes online to unveiling new music on his Beats 1 OVO Sound radio show, Drake has all but abandoned the traditional album release. His new track, Signs, was no different, with the rapper trying out a new platform for sharing his latest project: a fashion show. In partnership with Louis Vuitton, Signs’ world premiere came about halfway through the design house’s Paris Fashion Week menswear show, the first time Drake has used a runway to share new music. Fittingly, the track sounds like the kind of the generically pretty background music that typically soundtracks fashion shows, continuing Drizzy’s world-music infatuation, with its Afrobeat stomp.
