CAR MOWS DOWN SOLDIERS IN PARIS SUBURB

A suspect was arrested after six soldiers were struck by a vehicle in the Paris suburb of Levallois-Perret on Wednesday in an apparently deliberate attack on the military.

The man, who has not been identified, was shot and wounded in a gunfight during his capture, a French judicial official said, according to the Associated Press.

The driver had fled the scene after injuring the soldiers.

Levallois-Perret’s mayor, Patrick Balkany, told French broadcaster BFM that the incident was “an odious act of aggression.”
