Anthony Scaramucci, the former White House communications director, appeared on ‘ The Late Show’ Monday. Much of the conversation was contentious, especially when Stephen Colbert asked about events in Charlottesville, Va., and Trump’s tempered response. After calling Trump a “compassionate person” who gave up his “luxurious lifestyle” for the presidency, Scaramucci said, “I think there’s a counterintuitive thing as (it) relates to the media. The media expects him to do something; sometimes he does the opposite.”
