Climate activists pointed to the historic rainfall and epic flooding in Houston as the type of extreme event forecast to occur as the globe warms.

What made Hurricane Harvey so devastating had nothing to do with climate change. It had to do with the unusual weather pattern that caused Harvey to stay roughly in the same place for days.

David Nelson

Attributing one atmospheric event to climate change is impossible. However, it is absolutely true that climate change exacerbates the effects of storms and makes heavy rainfall and floods more likely. To say it has nothing to do with climate change only shows that people are ignorant of the subject.

Peter Smith

The ignorant left never lets a disaster go to waste. Climate change is real; the hoax is thinking we can do anything about it.

Mark Hobart

Evidence of global warming is all over the world. Glaciers are in fast retreat, coral reefs are dying, ocean temperatures and sea levels are rising.

The vast majority of scientists publish study after study on man-made climate change, yet so many people claim it is all a conspiracy — ignoring all the evidence to the contrary.

Rick Curtis

Right, no major hurricanes in Texas in almost 10 years yet this one is caused by climate change, per its cultists.

Dwayne Landry

Since the majority of scientists agree that man has influenced climate changes, I’m inclined to believe them. Of course, I’m not a scientist, but I certainly don’t believe that all of them are part of a “giant conspiracy.”

Victor Blackburn

It’s claims like these that create more and more skeptics. Harvey was the most prolific rainmaker in history because it stalled virtually in place for nearly a week. The stall was caused because Harvey was trapped between two high pressure systems. People know this, so when you try to attribute this to climate change, people start questioning the motivations.
