We asked our followers how the Department of Veterans Affairs could improve, after an investigation by the USA TODAY Network revealed the agency concealed mistakes and misdeeds by staff.
Accountability. Transparency. Choice of providers outside the VA. Regular, unbiased audits or surprise inspections. Veteran surveys. @MaryamKarriem
Discipline managers, first. Then, we can assess next steps. @GHFerdinand
Dissolve the VA health care system and allow veterans a choice of provider. Continue VA disabilities and pensions. Pay veterans for their service, and stop letting VA doctors and bureaucrats get a free ride. @bendapplegate
Identify the issues and get them resolved so they don’t happen again. Make the staff accountable to change in a positive manner. @24baseballReed
