Trump administration unleashes more sanctions on Venezuela

The Trump administration targeted 10 current or former Venezuelan officials with sanctions Thursday, accusing them of being part of a campaign to undermine elections, censor the news media and engage in corrupt activities.

The sanctions are part of an effort by U.S. officials to pressure the regime of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who they regard as a dictator.
