Speechless ABC, 8:30 ET/PT

The family sitcom has gotten a little sillier, which has sometimes been great for the series and sometimes gone too far (like in the messy Halloween episode). Tonight the show gets a boost from guest star Holland Taylor as Maya’s (Minnie Driver) mother, Andrea, who visits for Thanksgiving. Her appearance in the DiMeo household sends the family into a tizzy as it tries to impress Andrea after years apart. Kenneth (Cedric Yarbrough) has his own parental issues and dreads spending the holiday with his father, the Colonel (Keith David).

MythBusters Science, 9 ET/PT

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman may be gone, but the Science Channel has found two new hosts to test wild theories and urban legends. Brian Louden and Jonathan “Jon” Lung, who won the hosting gig on the spinoff Mythbusters: The

Search, make their debut. If you were worried that the new version of the series wouldn’t be as explosive as the old one, don’t be, as the first myths Brian and Jon take on involve an exploding airbag and a rocket-powered sword.

Dynasty CW, 9 ET/PT

Things are getting more tense for the Carrington family as their rifts get deeper. Fallon (Elizabeth Gilles) realizes she has alienated just about everyone in her life, which frees her to pursue her goals more aggressively.
