Do your Level best to fly to Europe
Boston and Newark are the latest U.S. destinations for one of Europe’s newest budget airlines.
Level will begin flying from Boston on March 28 with non-stop flights to Barcelona. The carrier will fly up to three flights a week during the peak summer schedule. From Newark, Level will add service to Paris Orly Airport, which the airline just announced would join Barcelona to become its second European base. Level’s Newark-Paris service begins Sept. 4, with four flights a week.
Introductory fares on both routes will begin at $149 one way.
Level began flying in June. It was launched by the International Airlines Group — parent company of British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus — to compete against fast-growing longhaul budget rivals. Level flies to Barcelona from Oakland and Los Angeles.
Level’s North American flights are flown on Airbus A330-200 aircraft that seats 293 passengers in coach and 21 in premium economy.
