At rally, Hezbollah chief pledges to return focus to Israel

Tens of thousands of Lebanese and Palestinians attended a Hezbollah rally Monday in Beirut, where the militant group’s leader vowed to focus on Israel after years of fighting in Syria.

Chanting, “Oh, America, you are the Great Satan,” men, women and children marched through streets of Hezbollah’s southern Beirut stronghold.

At the rally, called to protest President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, Hassan Nasrallah said he hoped the “foolish decision” would mark the “beginning of the end” of the Jewish state.
