Now we’re going after holiday classics?

Now we’ve gone too far, going after the song Baby, It’s Cold Outside, a favorite of men and women everywhere.

This is a song about a woman who wants to stay with her romantic partner, but is afraid of what society would think. It’s very cynical to say the song’s about a man pressuring a woman to have sex. If you don’t want to have sex with your boyfriend, break up with him — there is no effect on your career and future earning potential.

Let’s not turn every man who wants to be intimate with his girlfriend into a fiend, and let’s not try to erase BICO from the American songbook. This would distract the #MeToo movement from addressing real problems. Richard Franklin New Canaan, Conn.
