My humble thanks to those who serve us

My compliments to Tim Vogt’s column “It's sickening to call cop in school shooting a coward” about people calling deputies in the Parkland shooting cowards. For anyone to call someone a coward with no facts, and probably no experience in these situations, is a disgrace. Training is so critical for these people who throw themselves in harm’s way every day of their lives. For people — and even our president — to question everything the deputies did or didn’t do and suggest that they would have done better is just ridiculous.

My hat goes off to the men and women who put their lives on the line for all of us.
