NAA unveils ‘Success With Our #NAAPro’ campaign for National Auctioneers Week (April 30-May 5)

-

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (Feb.

28, 2018) – The National Auctioneers Association has announced its plans for 2018’s National Auctioneers Week (April 30-May 5).

National Auctioneers Day is Saturday, May 5.

The goal is to seize upon and continue the momentum achieved by the “#auctionswork/#NAAPro” campaign in 2016 and 2017’s “Success with our #NAAPro” initiative. Those efforts saw an unprecedented engagement level from members that resulted in more than three-quarters of a million members of the general public seeing or hearing the message t hat #auctionswork, especially when managed by an NAA auction professional.

“NAA members really have done amazing work the past two years in taking the #AuctionsWork and #NAAPro messages to their buyers, sellers, and social media audiences,” said NAA President Scott H. Shuman, CAI. “Every bit of campaign success the NAA has had is a direct result of those efforts, and we are looking forward to another successful National Auctioneers Week campaign as we again ask members to proudly participate and celebrate our communities and the solutions we provide within them.”

Where the original message was to highlight the overall effectiveness of the auction method of marketing, members will focus their efforts and messages on highlighting their clients’ and customers’ successes. Members also will use Facebook and other social media to help illustrate their commitment to their communities, to charitable causes, and to their industry.

The activities list employs an easy but comprehensive promotional approach that involves press releases, video, social media, and encouraging NAA members to take part in advocacy efforts locally, regionally and nationally.

Each day will feature a theme, and those will appear this way:

“Logo Monday” – NAA members will be asked to switch their social media profiles to the NAA logo. This is so members of the general public can identify their auction professional as an #NAAPro. “Teach ‘em Tuesday” – NAA members are committed to continuing education – especially in their industry. This day is built for them to highlight that commitment by explaining the training and credentials they have received. It provides you, the consumer, the chance to ask your auction professional what those designations mean! “Walk The Talk Wednesday” – Many members of the general public aren’t aware of just how involved their local NAA member or auction professional is in the community. Those men and women are frequently an advocate for their community in many ways, including working with local, state, and even national elected officials. NAA members will use this day to clearly explain their community advocacy efforts and value through an NAA-supplied social media post! “Banner Success Thursday” – NAA members will post photos and videos of their clients holding a “Success with our #NAAPro!” sign. It takes a team effort between client and auction professional for a great auction to happen, and this is the day to celebrate that teamwork!

“Philanthropy Friday” – Inside of community involvement, nearly every auction professional is involved in his or her community’s philanthropic activities in some way, and an NAA member’s time, effort, and fundraising abilities are often sought after. NAA members will be asked on this day to highlight those efforts by sharing in social media posts how #AuctionsWork for so many great causes. “Celebration Saturday” - It’s National Auctioneers Day! NAA members will take the day dedicated to them to instead honor their clients and customers – the people responsible for keeping auction companies alive and thriving in their communities. Members of the public should friend their local auction professional and look for an invitation to an upcoming auction, to do business, or to tour an auction company. It’s our members’ way of saying thank you!
