O’Malley on gerrymandering? Hypocrite.
Former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley says he hopes the Supreme Court will rein in or eliminate gerrymandering, the drawing of election districts providing unfair advantages to whichever political party controls the process.
O’Malley’s comments on this issue ring hollow. His newfound fervor for reforming gerrymandering would never be occurring if Democrats had power to gerrymander in the 30 states where O’Malley maintains that Republicans engaged in gerrymandering. O’Malley is a shamelessly hypocritical and highly partisan politician. He has no moral high ground to be taken seriously on gerrymandering reform.
