DRIED BEEF RECALLED FOR POSSIBLE CONTAMINATION
The company that owns Birds Eye, Duncan Hines and Vlasic brands is recalling close to 32,500 pounds of dried beef due to possible contamination. Pinnacle Foods’ ready-to-eat dried, sliced beef by Armour Star may have been tainted by staphylococcal enterotoxin and clostridial toxin. The nationwide recall is for 2.25-ounce and 4.5-ounce glass jars of Armour Ground & Formed Sliced Dried Beef with select January and April best-by dates. Anyone who bought product is urged to throw it out or return it.
