LOOK WHO’S TALKING
Get to know Chloe Gosselin, the stiletto architect of the moment.

Times called actress Deepika Padukone a “fierce warrior princess” on the Cannes red carpet for her green Chloe Gosselin shoes and matching green smoky eyes. Gosselin’s dozens of high-profile devotees include Olivia Munn, Celine Dion, Andra Day and Selma Blair. Madonna wearing her Datura pump in Interview magazine, Tori Amos performing at the Viktor & Rolf anniversary in her Hyacinth sandal and Kendall Jenner out and about in her Larkspur sandal are favorite recent celeb moments. But most don’t know that inspiration often strikes Gosselin when she’s at home— close to the Red Rock Conservation Area—where she’s lived for a decade with fiancé David Copperfield, and full time since their daughter started school here four years ago. So does a certain magician influence her shows, which have been described as “magical” by fashion editors? “We are really close and always create side by side,” she says. “David took his crazy childhood dream and made it a reality! He inspires me to dream bigger and always push the limits.” Dream big enough and you might be able to collect her shoes hand-painted by artist Regina Yazdi— sold as an exclusive capsule in her resort 2018 collection. “Spring/summer 2018 will have a lot more flats and midheels, but still very detailed with embellishments, like the jewelry piece I introduced for fall/ winter 2017 on the Helix Mary Jane,” she hints. Pressed to describe the Chloe Gosselin woman, the nature-loving equestrian and mother characterizes her client as “a dreamy girl, romantic and feminine, but also strong and anchored in her reality. She loves fashion but believes in investment pieces that she can keep for a lifetime; she loves one-of-a-kind fashion and the stories behind each creation.” A woman, we imagine, very similar to Gosselin herself.
