There al­ways seem to be left­over rolls or buns after a din­ner or get-to­gether. In­stead of throw­ing the buns away, I cut them into cubes to make home­made crou­tons — just add oil and sea­son­ings and bake in the oven. You can also make gar­lic bread or use a food pro­ces­sor to pulse left­overs into bread crumbs. Sheila Da­ley, Rochester, MN
