I’m not strong enough to crush gar­lic by hand, and I worry about my knife slip­ping. So when I need to crush some cloves, I sand­wich them in be­tween two small cut­ting boards and press down on the top one. With lit­tle ef­fort, I’m safely able to crush as many gar­lic cloves as I need. Joyce An­crile, Vi­enna, WV
