What To Do and Where To Go
A Bit of Everything Here are a few standout options that will allow Amelia Island visitors to enjoy the unique culture of the island.
With the Addison in the heart of the island’s historic district, known as Fernandina Beach, there are many sights to see. These include shopping and food, all of which have large cultural roots to the community. Authentic Cuban cooking is a staple here.
Just a couple blocks east from the Addison is the Amelia Island Lighthouse, a beacon of history on the island. In the opposite direction a few blocks west of the inn, the Amelia Island Museum of History sits inside the original Nassau County Jail. Today, it offers guests an interactive look at the storied past of Amelia Island, as well as serving as the first spoken history museum in Florida.
