Ruth Coker, 91 LaFayette
Ruth Coker, of LaFayette, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. She was 91.
She was born March 7, 1925, to the late Carl Anderson Crider and Lillie Mae Cochran Crider.
She was a seamstress for 40 years at Fortune Hosiery Mill in LaFayette and was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.
Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Emmett L. Coker; grandson, Nicholas Coker and great-grandson, Jeremy Underwood; siblings, William and Robert Crider and Frances Spence Bruce.
Survivors include: Her daughter, Dianne (Wayne) Pettigrew of LaFayette; sons, Rick (Michelle) Coker of LaFayette, Dale (Susan) Coker of Woodstock, David (Janice) Coker and Bruce (Danita) Coker of LaFayette; 10 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; 12 greatgreat grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday, Aug. 18, from 6–9 p.m. and Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service at
the funeral home.
Funeral service: Friday, Aug. 19, at 3 p.m. at Wilbanks Memorial Chapel.
Burial: LaFayette Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
