Ar­land “Bud” Travis Peve­house, 84, Rocky Face

Ar­land “Bud” Travis Peve­house, age 84, of Rocky Face passed away at his home Tues­day, July 18, 2017.

He was born in 1932 in Ho­hen­wald Ten­nessee to the late Jim Peve­house and Blos­som Miller Peve­house. He was a Korean War vet­eran. He is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 21 years, Rosa Lee Peve­house of Rocky Face; daugh­ter, Deb­bie Bowers of Ma­han and Ray Ma­han; un­cle, Henry Collins; aunt, June Gravitt; and sev­eral nieces, neph­ews and cousins.

Fu­neral ser­vice: 2:00 pm on Satur­day, July 22, 2017 in the fu­neral home chapel, with Rev. Charles McEl­haney and Rev. Alvin Cum­mings of­fi­ci­at­ing.

Burial: Mt. Pleas­ant Ceme­tery.

Vis­i­ta­tion: From 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm on Fri­day and prior to the ser­vice on Satur­day.

Lynette Abrams Mor­gan, 81 of Flint­stone, Ge­or­gia went home to be with her Lord and Sav­ior on Fri­day, July 21, 2017.

She had lived in the North Ge­or­gia area for most of her life and at­tended Val­ley View Bap­tist Church. She was a lov­ing and de­voted sis­ter, wife, mother, grand­mother & great grand­mother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Joseph & Maggie Abrams; her lov­ing hus­band of more than 56 years, Fred Mor­gan; sis­ters, Trudy Thomas and Irene Den­ton and 3 broth­ers, Wes­ley, Wil­lie Joe and James Abrams.

Sur­vivors in­clude her chil­dren, Clif­ford & Donna Mor­gan of Chicka­mauga, GA, Brenda & Ed­die An­der­son and Peggy Mor­gan all of Flint­stone, GA; brother, Mil­ton & Eve­lyn Abrams of Steens, Mis­sis­sippi; sis­ters, Frances Bell of Ma­con, Mis­sis­sippi, Bar­bara Ed­mond­son of Colum­bus, Mis­sis­sippi and Don­nie Nix of Clin­ton, Mis­sis­sippi; 4 grand­chil­dren, LaTisha Mor­gan, Daniel An­der­son, Jonathan Mor­gan and Rachel & Will Brock; 4 great grand­chil­dren, Au­tumn Mor­gan, Gabe Mor­gan, Michaella Mor­gan and Abi­gail Brock; nu­mer­ous nieces, neph­ews and ex­tended fam­ily & friends.

Florence Lucy Green Pe­ters, 97, of Ring­gold

Florence Lucy Green Pe­ters, 97, of Ring­gold, Ge­or­gia, passed away Wed­nes­day, July 19 2017 at her res­i­dence.

A life­long res­i­dent of the Ring­gold area, she was a for­mer em­ployee of Sweet­wa­ter Car­pet where she worked for 19 years and was of the Bap­tist faith.

She is pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Ira E. Pe­ters; par­ents, Wil­liam “Jeff” and Lula Free­man Green; grand­son, Denny Pe­ters; great grand­daugh­ter, Bri­anna Mosley; sis­ter, Mil­dred Brock and five broth­ers, Arnold Green, Carl Green, Fred Ma­nis, Lewis Ma­nis, and La­mar Ma­nis.

She is sur­vived by five chil­dren, Ken­neth (Linda) Pe­ters, Mar­ion (Myra) Pe­ters, Howard (John­nie) Pe­ters, Gary (Della) Pe­ters and Brenda (Her­man) Ka­pherr all of Ring­gold, GA.; brother, Earnest (Dorothy) Green of Ring­gold, GA, eleven grand­chil­dren, seven­teen great grand­chil­dren, three great great grand­chil­dren, sev­eral nieces and neph­ews.

Grave­side ser­vices: 2:30 P.M. Fri­day July 21, 2017 at Gordy Ceme­tery with Bro. Her­man Ka­pherr of­fi­ci­at­ing.

Larry Dou­glas “Doug” Tucker II, 46, Ring­gold

Larry Dou­glas “Doug” Tucker II, age 46 of Ring­gold passed away Satur­day, July 15, 2017.

Doug was born Fe­bru­ary 15, 1971 in Fort Oglethorpe, Ge­or­gia. He was em­ployed by Pro Diesel Re­pair, which was owned by his fa­ther. Rodeo was the love of his life and bull rid­ing was the event he ex­celled in, es­pe­cially in the 90’s. Doug was en­cour­aged by his bull rid­ing un­cle, Ricky Smith.

He was pre­ceded in death by his grand­par­ents, Charles and John­nie Ruth Tucker, and T.W. and Mar­garet Smith.

Sur­vived by his fa­ther, Larry Dou­glas Tucker, Sr.; mother, Myra Kay (Ray­mond) Ran­dles; daugh­ter, Bai­ley A. Mann; and son, Rowdy L. Tucker; sev­eral aunts, un­cles, many cousins and best friend, Jenny Brown also sur­vive.

Cel­e­bra­tion of Life ser­vice: in the Wil­banks Memo­rial Chapel Thurs­day, July 20th at 7:00 P.M.

Vis­i­ta­tion: At the fu­neral home Thurs­day from 5:00 p.m. un­til ser­vice.

Mr. D. F. Webb Sr., 95, of Rossville passed away Wed­nes­day July 19, 2017.

Mr. Webb proudly served his coun­try in the United States Army as a Sharp Shooter in WWII while Sta­tioned in Ok­i­nawa, Ja­pan and New Cale­do­nia, New Zealand, he also owned and op­er­ated Webb’s T.V. re­pair ser­vice for 45 years.

Mr. Webb is pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, Wife; Rosa Lee Webb, son; Alan C. Webb, 4 broth­ers, and 2 sis­ters.

Mr. Webb is sur­vived by his son Felix Webb Jr. grand­chil­dren Alan “Cliff” Webb Jr., Molly Ca­gle and Sarah Webb as well as sev­eral nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

He is pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; Boyd Wor­ley and Icy Mor­ton; sis­ter, Loretta Dempsey. Sur­vivors in­clude his sib­lings, Judy Wor­ley, Diane (Randy) Led­ford, Rickey Barn­hill; sev­eral nieces and neph­ews; spe­cial friend, Cindy Har­ris.
