Lady War­riors drop heart­breaker to Dade

The Dade County Lady Wolver­ines ral­lied from an 8-3 deficit go­ing into the sixth in­ning to stun the LFO Lady War­riors, 9-8, in non-re­gion game last Mon­day night in Tren­ton.

Dade County (6-5) plated four in the bot­tom of the sixth to get back in the game be­fore scor­ing twice in the home half of the sev­enth to seal the vic­tory.

LFO (5-6) played er­ror­less ball and col­lected 11 hits, three com­ing off the bat of Ha­ley Stahl, who smacked a pair of dou­bles.

Keelie Mauk had a dou­ble as one of her two hits, while Kourt­ney Mor­ri­son and Shaniyah Jones also had two hits apiece.

Two more games sched­uled for last week were post­poned by rain.

A re­match with Dade County on Wed­nes­day has can­celled. No makeup date has been an­nounced.

The Lady War­riors’ sub­re­gion game with Mur­ray County, sched­uled for this past Thurs­day, was also post­poned.

That game will be made up as part of a dou­ble­header at LFO on Sept. 19, start­ing at 4:30 p.m.
