LFO sal­vages 6-AAA North win over North Mur­ray

The LFO Lady War­riors en­dured some­thing of a tough week last week, los­ing three of four matches, in­clud­ing two to ri­val Ring­gold. How­ever, there was a bright spot as their lone vic­tory was a sub­re­gion win over North Mur­ray.

LFO dropped the open­ing set to the Lady Moun­taineers, 25-15, but the Red-and-White stormed back for two straight 25-18 wins to clinch the match.

Macey Gregg had seven kills, eight digs, four as­sists and three aces in the win. Miyah Fos­ter recorded eight kills, seven as­sists and an ace. Symerel Ben­nett picked up four kills, a block and an as­sist, while Madi Gra­ham had four aces to go with 15 as­sists.

Against Ring­gold, the Lady War­riors dropped the 6-AAA North con­test, 25-19, 25-4. Gregg had five kills, six aces, two as­sists and two digs. Ben­nett col­lected three kills, while Gra­ham had three as­sists and a kill.

On Thurs­day in LaFayette, LFO lost to the sev­enth-ranked Lady Ram­blers, 25-17 and 2515. Gregg had four kills, while Gra­ham picked up five as­sists and four aces. Fos­ter threw down five kills and Ben­nett had five kills, two as­sists, a block and an ace.

The fi­nal match of the week was a re­match with the Lady Tigers. LFO pushed hard, but ul­ti­mately fell by scores of 26-24 and 25-19.

Gregg had a big match with 14 kills, seven digs and three as­sists. Gra­ham recorded seven as­sists and an ace. Fos­ter had four kills, six as­sists, four digs and two aces, while Ben­nett fin­ished up with three kills and two as­sists.

Also get­ting in the stat sheet was Jer­ri­ale Jack­son (2 kills, 2 as­sists) and Gra­cen Hobbs (2 kills).

LFO be­gan this week with a 9-25 over­all mark and a 2-1 record in the sub­re­gion.
