Mid­dle School Vol­ley­ball: LaFayette evens up league record

The LaFayette Lady Ram­blers got back to the .500 mark (6-6) af­ter wins over Rossville and Chat­tanooga Val­ley last week.

In the var­sity match against the Lady Bull­dogs, LaFayette pre­vailed by scores of 25-10 and 25-13 at home on Tues­day af­ter­noon.

Shelby Mad­den served up 10 aces, while Bella Brown col­lected seven, plus a kill. Brittany Aguero had four aces and three kills. Alex Wysong recorded three kills, a block and two aces. Shel­ley War­ren had an as­sists and as­sisted on three points, while Kylie Grant fin­ished with two aces.

The JV match saw the Lady Ram­blers post a 25-19, 25-10 win be­hind Emily Cordell’s seven aces and Michaela Baker’s two kills and three aces.

Kenedy Ludy col­lected four aces and two as­sists. Sierra Cun­ning­ham had a kill, while Erin Ball and Em­malee Phillips each recorded an ace.

Two days later, the Lady Ram­blers var­sity squad bested the Lady Ea­gles, 25-16 and 25-16, while the LaFayette JV team won 25-12 and 25-10.

Wysong had six kills and two aces for LaFayette. Cordell and Grant had six and five aces, re­spec­tively, while Brown recorded four kills and an ace.

Mad­den had three aces, two as­sists and a kill. Ludy col­lected two aces and an as­sist. Cun­ning­ham added six aces and a pair of blocks, while Erin Ball served up seven aces, a block and a kill.

In­di­vid­ual statis­tics for Chat­tanooga Val­ley (3-9) were not pro­vided as of press time.
