Middle School Volleyball: LaFayette evens up league record
The LaFayette Lady Ramblers got back to the .500 mark (6-6) after wins over Rossville and Chattanooga Valley last week.
In the varsity match against the Lady Bulldogs, LaFayette prevailed by scores of 25-10 and 25-13 at home on Tuesday afternoon.
Shelby Madden served up 10 aces, while Bella Brown collected seven, plus a kill. Brittany Aguero had four aces and three kills. Alex Wysong recorded three kills, a block and two aces. Shelley Warren had an assists and assisted on three points, while Kylie Grant finished with two aces.
The JV match saw the Lady Ramblers post a 25-19, 25-10 win behind Emily Cordell’s seven aces and Michaela Baker’s two kills and three aces.
Kenedy Ludy collected four aces and two assists. Sierra Cunningham had a kill, while Erin Ball and Emmalee Phillips each recorded an ace.
Two days later, the Lady Ramblers varsity squad bested the Lady Eagles, 25-16 and 25-16, while the LaFayette JV team won 25-12 and 25-10.
Wysong had six kills and two aces for LaFayette. Cordell and Grant had six and five aces, respectively, while Brown recorded four kills and an ace.
Madden had three aces, two assists and a kill. Ludy collected two aces and an assist. Cunningham added six aces and a pair of blocks, while Erin Ball served up seven aces, a block and a kill.
Individual statistics for Chattanooga Valley (3-9) were not provided as of press time.
