Mid­dle School Vol­ley­ball: Rossville bat­tles in league play

The Rossville Lady Bull­dogs dropped three league matches last week.

Against un­beaten Gordon Lee on Mon­day, Rossville lost by scores of 25-6 and 25-7.

El­iz­a­beth Ba­gley had four kills, an ace and a dig for Rossville. BreeAnna Led­ford fin­ished with seven digs, two aces and a kill, while El­liana Ro­driguez had one dig.

In the JV match, the Lady Tro­jans pre­vailed 25-21 and 25-21.

Rylee Waits had three aces for Rossville. Bryanna Galindo had two aces and a kill. Ri­lynn Strickland added two aces and two digs. Ka­cie Poarch had an ace, while Mon­ica Valasquez and Sarah Gra­ham both had one dig.

On Tues­day, Rossville fell to LaFayette, 25-10 and 2513, in the var­sity match.

Led­ford had three aces for the Lady Bull­dogs, while Brylee Ben­son and Ivey Stargel each had one ace. Ro­driguez and Ba­gley both fin­ished with two kills, while Erica Cul­ber­son and McKen­sie Miller had one apiece.

The JV match saw the Lady Ram­blers post a 25-19, 25-10 win.

Rylee Waits had two aces and two kills for Rossville. Galindo col­lected two aces and a kill. Poarch and Jes­sica Ramos both served up an ace, while Gra­ham had one kill.

Fi­nally, against Ring­gold on Thurs­day, Rossville fell 25-12 and 25-13 in the var­sity match.

Miller and Led­ford had two kills each for

Rossville (2-10), while Led­ford also added three aces. Ben­son, Stargel and Ro­driguez had one kill apiece with

Ro­driguez and Ba­gley col­lect­ing two aces each.

The JV match saw Ring­gold claim a 25-9, 25-19 win. Rossville for three kills and two aces from Poarch and two aces from Ve­lasquez. Rylee Waits had one

ace, while Reece Waits, Galindo and Ri­lynn Strickland each had one kill.

This week will be the fi­nal week of the NGAC reg­u­lar sea­son.

The NGAC tour­na­ment will be Oct. 17-19 at Gordon Lee.
