Eldon Mullins, 81, Rossville, Ga.
Eldon Mullins, 81, of Rossville, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mr. Mullins was born on the 2nd day of August 1936 to the late Willie and Charles Mullins of Flintstone, GA. Mr. Mullins spent most of his career in the plate glass industry as a glazier and later on as an estimator in the Chattanooga area. He married Mary Charlotte Petty on April 22, 1954 and together they raised three daughters. Mr. Mullins was heavily involved in their activities. He loved to watch his girls play softball and he also coached some of their teams throughout the years. Mr. Mullins was a member of Bible Baptist Church where he was able to share his passion for music, playing his guitar, and singing. He loved spending time with his family. Nothing made him happier than his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Mullins enjoyed the beach and he understood that it was not solely about the destination but it was also about the journey he loved so much. Mr. Mullins left and impact on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Charles Gibson; brother, Billy C. Mullins and grandson Jonathan Wall.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Charlotte Mullins; three children, Kim (Wayne) Wall, Vicki Newton (Rick) Miller and Janet (Mike) Rearden; grandchildren, Nikki Newton, Justin (Kim) Newton, Angela (Danny) Gallego, Zach Rearden, Mandy Wall and Amy Wall; great grandchildren, Cruz Newton-Jackson, Belle Newton, Gabriela Gallego, William Gallego, and Jake Wall; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Kate Cummings Lynn, 62, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia passed away Tuesday October 3, 2017.
A native of Raeford, North Carolina, she has lived in the Catoosa County area for the past 47 years and was formerly of Lumberton, North Carolina. She was a former Bus Driver for Catoosa County where she worked for 20 years and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Ringgold, Georgia.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Davis; mother, Cilla Cummings Sewell; and brother, Peter Cummings.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Eugene Lynn of Tunnel Hill, GA.; three children, Cynthia Diane Chapman of Tunnel Hill, GA., Mary Michelle Keener of Tunnel Hill, GA., and Michael David (Jamie) Lynn of Tunnel Hill, GA.; two sisters, Ludie Barbour of Maxton, N.C., and Daisey Maye Cummings of Maxton, N.C.; three brothers, David Earl Cummings of Maxton, N.C., Junior Ray Sewell of Tunnel Hill, GA., and Carl Lee Sewell of Jacksonville, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Jordain Lester Keener, Tyler William Dean, Zachary David Dean, Haley Lynn Claiborne, Mykynzie Eugene Keener, Michael Donovan Lynn and Mallory Kathleen Lynn; several nieces and nephews.

Phyllis Ann Madaris Moses age 65, of LaFayette, GA passed away Monday – October 2, 2017.
She was born in Chickamauga, GA to the late Ralph Franklin Madaris and Catherine Dixon Madaris. She was a lifelong resident of the LaFayette area and enjoyed taking care of others. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant and had worked with Hutcheson Hospice and was the former owner/operator of Heavenly Haven Assisted Living Home. She was a member of Gospel Light Christian Fellowship in LaFayette, GA.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Donna Stoker.
She is survived by her husband: Alvin D. Moses, their children: Serena Kay Moses Dixon, Tonia Kathleen Moses all of LaFayette, GA, Alvin Lee Moses of Ooltewah, TN, sister: Brenda Madaris of Ringgold, GA, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Thursday from 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm, Friday from 11:00 am – 9:00 pm and Saturday morning until the funeral.

Herman Nave, 84, Chickamauga, Ga.
Herman Nave, age 84 of Chickamauga, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
He was a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Herman severed his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Combustion Engineering after 36 yrs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, who will be greatly missed.
Herman was raised and preceded in death by Mommy and Poppy Nave.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 60 yrs., Sandra Nave; sons and daughter-inlaw, Michael & Lisa Nave, and Mark Nave; granddaughter, Heather (John) Millican; great grandchild, Noah Luke; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service: 1:00 pm on Friday, October 6, 2017 in the Chickamauga City Cemetery, with Rev. Doug Jordan officiating.
Visitation: 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday and prior to leaving for the service on Friday.

Mrs. Margaret “Teresa” Chase 61 of LaFayette departed this life Tuesday October 3, 2017.
Teresa was a lifelong resident LaFayette and of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Josephine Frashier, grandson, Hunter Chase and a nephew, Casey Rackley.
Survivors include husband, Marvin Chase, Daughters, Judy (Lamar) McClure, Ashley (Mikie) Smith, Son, Marvin (Kristy) Chase all of LaFayette. Avis Jeanette Loughridge Thomas, age 96, of LaFayette, GA passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Baptist Village, Waycross, GA after an extended illness.
She was born July 10, 1921 to the late William Benjamin Loughridge and Maggie Wheeler Loughridge. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of LaFayette, where she served for many years as Treasurer as well as assisting weekly in the church library. She was a retiree of the Bank of LaFayette and supported many organizations and causes during her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Emory Thomas; brother, Benjamin Ross Loughridge; sister, Betty Genelle Roberts; and daughter, Margaret Lynn Thomas Bennett.
