Mr. Mullis goes to Wash­ing­ton State se­na­tors rec­og­nize Sec. Sonny Per­due for his ser­vice

Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chicka­mauga), along with Sen. Steve Gooch (R – Dahlonega), Sen. Butch Miller (R – Gainesville) and Sen. John Wilkin­son (R – Toc­coa), re­cently met with U.S. Agri­cul­ture Sec­re­tary Sonny Per­due in Wash­ing­ton, D.C.

Dur­ing their meet­ing, they pre­sented Per­due with a res­o­lu­tion con­grat­u­lat­ing him on his re­cent cabi­net ap­point­ment.

They also dis­cussed agri­cul­ture is­sues and po­ten­tial leg­is­la­tion that would im­pact the agri­cul­ture busi­ness in Ge­or­gia. The se­na­tors also met with Coun­selor to the Pres­i­dent, Kellyanne Con­way, to dis­cuss other leg­isla­tive ini­tia­tives in Ge­or­gia.

“It was a priv­i­lege to meet with my long­time friend Sec­re­tary Per­due in our na­tion’s cap­i­tal,” Sen. Mullis said .”He is a Ge­or­gian who I highly re­spect and who rep­re­sents Ge­or­gia’s val­ues and needs at the high­est level of gov­ern­ment. I look for­ward to many more meet­ings with him in the fu­ture.”

The res­o­lu­tion pre­sented to Sec. Per­due con­grat­u­lated him on his ap­point­ment to Pres­i­dent Don­ald J. Trump’s Cabi­net and past com­mit­ment to Ge­or­gia.

Be­fore his ap­point­ment to the pres­i­den­tial cabi­net, Sec. Per­due served as a mem­ber of the Ge­or­gia Se­nate and as gov­er­nor.

The group also pre­sented Sec­re­tary Per­due with a res­o­lu­tion for Pres­i­dent Trump com­mend­ing him on his ded­i­ca­tion to keep­ing Amer­i­cans safe and putting our na­tional se­cu­rity at the fore­front of his ex­ec­u­tive agenda.
