Perhaps sometime in the future, a team will step up and finally put an end to Gordon Lee’s region championship streak.
Then again, maybe they won’t.
The tradition continued for the Navyand-White at home last week as they went 3-0 in the Region 6-A tournament to claim a 15th consecutive region tournament crown. All 15 region tournament titles have come under the tutelage of head coach Dana Mull, who is now in her 15th season at the helm.
To put the feat in context, Gordon Lee’s current class of seniors were each only two or three years old when Mull guided the Lady Trojans to the first championship in 2003, while any of Gordon Lee’s current crop of freshmen under the 15 had yet to even be born when the Lady Trojans hoisted that championship trophy.
