Per­haps some­time in the fu­ture, a team will step up and fi­nally put an end to Gor­don Lee’s re­gion cham­pi­onship streak.

Then again, maybe they won’t.

The tra­di­tion con­tin­ued for the Navyand-White at home last week as they went 3-0 in the Re­gion 6-A tour­na­ment to claim a 15th con­sec­u­tive re­gion tour­na­ment crown. All 15 re­gion tour­na­ment ti­tles have come un­der the tute­lage of head coach Dana Mull, who is now in her 15th sea­son at the helm.

To put the feat in con­text, Gor­don Lee’s cur­rent class of se­niors were each only two or three years old when Mull guided the Lady Tro­jans to the first cham­pi­onship in 2003, while any of Gor­don Lee’s cur­rent crop of fresh­men un­der the 15 had yet to even be born when the Lady Tro­jans hoisted that cham­pi­onship tro­phy.
