Two Mocs assistants attending NFL Diversity Fellowships
Two University of Tennessee at Chattanooga assistant football coaches are taking part in the 2018 Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship this week. Chris Cook is currently working with the Atlanta Falcons, while Oscar Rodriguez is spending this week with the Chicago Bears.
Cook, the tackles and tight ends coach as well as recruiting coordinator, is entering his second season at his alma mater. Rodriguez is the linebackers coach joining the program this past spring.
The NFL Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship is in its 30th year helping outstanding coaches gain exposure to NFL training camps and offseason workout programs. The program’s objective is to use NFL clubs’ training camps, offseason workout program and mini-camps to provide talented coaches opportunities to observe, participate, gain experience and ultimately gain a fulltime NFL coaching position.
