Two Mocs as­sis­tants at­tend­ing NFL Di­ver­sity Fel­low­ships

Two Univer­sity of Ten­nessee at Chat­tanooga as­sis­tant foot­ball coaches are tak­ing part in the 2018 Bill Walsh NFL Di­ver­sity Coach­ing Fel­low­ship this week. Chris Cook is cur­rently work­ing with the At­lanta Fal­cons, while Os­car Ro­driguez is spend­ing this week with the Chicago Bears.

Cook, the tack­les and tight ends coach as well as re­cruit­ing co­or­di­na­tor, is en­ter­ing his sec­ond sea­son at his alma mater. Ro­driguez is the lineback­ers coach join­ing the pro­gram this past spring.

The NFL Bill Walsh Di­ver­sity Coach­ing Fel­low­ship is in its 30th year help­ing out­stand­ing coaches gain ex­po­sure to NFL train­ing camps and off­sea­son work­out pro­grams. The pro­gram’s ob­jec­tive is to use NFL clubs’ train­ing camps, off­sea­son work­out pro­gram and mini-camps to pro­vide tal­ented coaches op­por­tu­ni­ties to ob­serve, par­tic­i­pate, gain ex­pe­ri­ence and ul­ti­mately gain a full­time NFL coach­ing po­si­tion.
