Mocs to im­ple­ment new clear bag pol­icy at Fin­ley Sta­dium

In an ef­fort to en­hance spec­ta­tor safety and align with na­tional best-prac­tices, the Univer­sity of Ten­nessee at Chat­tanooga Ath­let­ics De­part­ment is im­ple­ment­ing a clear bag pol­icy for home games at Fin­ley Sta­dium dur­ing the 2018 sea­son.

“The safety of our fans is of ut­most im­por­tance to us,” stated UTC Vice Chan­cel­lor and Di­rec­tor of Ath­let­ics Mark Whar­ton. “It is al­ready manda­tory in the SEC and the NFL and we felt like it was an ini­tia­tive that needed to be put in place at Fin­ley Sta­dium.

Those who pur­chase foot­ball sea­son tick­ets will re­ceive a free Mocs Clear Bag to use through­out the year. This bag will be de­liv­ered with the 2018 sea­son tick­ets in Au­gust.

Fans are al­lowed to bring in one plas­tic, vinyl or PVC clear bag that does not ex­ceed 12” x 6” x 12” to home games at Fin­ley Sta­dium.

Other items on the ap­proved list in­clude stor­age bags (one gal­lon re-seal­able clear plas­tic freezer bags), a small clutch purse (no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” with or with­out a han­dle or strap), a seat cush­ion or bleacher chair (no larger than 16” and no pock­ets) and a small di­a­per bag (must be ac­com­pa­nied by a child).

Pro­hib­ited items in­clude large purses, large totes, non-clear or printed totes, duf­fel bags, draw­string bags, back­packs, fanny packs and cam­era bags.
