Farmington/Fayetteville Tourney Begins Friday
Fastpitch softball fans are in for a treat with 12 games scheduled to be played in 27 hours during the Farmington/Fayetteville Tournament on Friday and Saturday.
Friday’s games will be played at Farmington and begin with Gravette taking on Fort Smith Southside in Game 1 at 4:30 p.m. The Lady Rebels are coached by former Farmington pitcher Cassy Long, who led Farmington to a state championship as a freshman in 2001.
Game 2 features Farmington taking on Pottsville at 6 p.m., followed by Fayetteville vs. Conway at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the tournament moves to Fayetteville’s Lady ‘ Dog Yard and begins at 9 a. m. with the Gravette- Southside loser playing the Farming- ton-Pottsville loser. A total of nine games are scheduled throughout Saturday, capped of by the championship game at 7:30 p.m.
