Charles Nolan Oxford, 92, of Farmington, Ark., passed away Oct. 10, 2016, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayettevil­le, Ark. He was born Dec. 27, 1923, in Springdale, Ark., the son of Charles and Emma Oxford.

He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1941. He served in the United States Navy, worked as a bread man for Bunny Bread for 27 years before retiring to the farm and then worked for the Farmington Public School system where he drove a bus and worked in the sports complex.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Deloris Oxford; and four sisters, Helen Oxford, Winnie Standlee, Virginia Shockley and Emma Jean Howard.

She is survived by two sons, Greg Oxford and wife Marykaye of Cane Hill, Ark., and Jeff Oxford and wife Ree of Farmington; one brother, Milford Oxford of Maryland; one sister, Kathy Scagnelli of Las Vegas; six grandchild­ren, Jake Oxford and his wife Lacy, Barrett Oxford, Flint Oxford, Courtney Cox and her husband Micheal, Anna Johnson and husband Bill and Claudia Oxford; six great- grandchild­ren, Jace Oxford, Cash Oxford, Collins Oxford, Tate Cox, Jax Parker Cox and Emma Dean Cox.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016, at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove, Ark. Burial was in Farmington Cemetery, there will be no graveside services held.
