Gospel Singing Any­one in­ter­ested in singing at the Clothes­line Fair Gospel Sing on Sun­day, Sept. 3, call Mar­ion Cowan, 479-841-3372. Each singer or group, please plan on 20-30 min­utes of song. Ev­ery­one else bring your lawn chair and en­joy the mu­sic.

Schol­ar­ship Breakfast Oc­ci­den­tal Lodge, Prairie Grove, will host a schol­ar­ship breakfast 6-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at the lodge lo­cated at 114 N. Mock Street, Prairie Grove. The breakfast will in­clude eggs, ba­con, sausage, gravy and bis­cuits, pan­cakes, juice, milk and cof­fee. This is our first schol­ar­ship breakfast of the school year. Come and help us get off to a great start for our 2018 grad­u­at­ing se­niors from Farm­ing­ton and Prairie Grove. Do­na­tions will be ac­cepted and go to the schol­ar­ship fund.

Visit our web page at: oc­ci­den­tial­lodge436.com. Junk Yard Dog’s Junk Fest Friends of Prairie Grove Pound will spon­sor their Junk Yard Dog’s Junk Fest, Sept. 1-4, at 314 E. Parks St., in Prairie Grove. Pro­ceeds are used to pay vet bills and other costs to care for an­i­mals at the Prairie Grove Pound. The Fest will fea­ture ven­dors, mu­sic, food and raf­fle prizes. Hours for the Junk Yard Dog are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; noon to 5 p.m. Sun­day; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mon­day. Ad­mis­sion is free.

Blood Drive Com­mu­nity Blood Cen­ter will have a blood drive, 1-4 p.m. Thurs­day, Sept. 7, at PG Telco, 139 N. Mock St. Cur­rent blood re­serves have short­ages among all neg­a­tive blood types. The cen­ter pro­vides blood for pa­tients at 40 area hos­pi­tals.
