Jane Elizabeth Vest, 65, of Farm­ing­ton, Ark., passed away peace­fully on Sun­day, May 6, 2018.

She was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Har­ri­son,

Ark., to

Perry and Ernes­tine Trot­ter. She was a beloved mother who sin­gle-hand­edly raised her two sons. She was also an es­teemed el­e­men­tary school li­brar­ian, and after re­tire­ment, she served on the Wash­ing­ton County Li­brary Board and as a vol­un­teer for the Farm­ing­ton Pub­lic Li­brary. She en­joyed read­ing, play­ing board games, and spend­ing time with fam­ily. More­over, she loved peo­ple, and her hap­pi­ness and pos­i­tiv­ity touched many peo­ple through­out her life­time. She will be missed. She was a proud sup­porter of the Methodist Church.

She is sur­vived by her two sons, Eric Vest and fi­ancée, Lina, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Josh Vest and wife, Becca, of Fayet­teville, Ark.; a grand­son, Crox­ton Vest of Fayet­teville; a sis­ter, Nancy Thomp­son of Spring­dale, Ark.; an aunt, Dorothy Murray of Har­ri­son, Ark.; a niece, Elizabeth Sniff of Fayet­teville; two neph­ews, Ri­ley McCormick of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Ryan McCormick of Spring­dale; and sev­eral cousins.

In lieu of flow­ers, memorial do­na­tions may be made to the Farm­ing­ton United Methodist Church.

Grave­side ser­vices were held May 9, 2018, at Maple­wood Ceme­tery in Har­ri­son. A memorial ser­vice was held May 9, 2018, at Farm­ing­ton United Methodist Church in Farm­ing­ton.
