Lin­coln Golfers Com­pete At State

LIN­COLN — After claim­ing sec­ond place in the 3A-1 District meet, the Lin­coln boys golf team was off to state Oct. 2 at Burns Park Golf Course in North Lit­tle Rock.

The Wolves fin­ished 11th in the stand­ings with a 305 team score. Baptist Prep won the team ti­tle with a 235 tally while Foun­tain Lake fin­ished sec­ond with 246.

Se­nior Ster­ling Mor­phis shot a 90 to lead the Wolves. Max Mas­ter, of Hard­ing Academy, was the medal­ist with a 73, edg­ing out Christo­pher Des­fas­si­aux, of Foun­tain Lake; and Ha­gen Sanchez, of Baptist Prep, both of whom shot a 74.

Eas­ton Bounds, of Lin­coln, shot a 105, while Josh Jet­ton, of Lin­coln, was at 110, and Daw­son Cal­ico played the course at 115.
