Apple Fest Talent Show Entertains
Capping off a successful Arkansas Apple Festival day was the Youth Talent Contest held at the American Legion building. Ten contestants gave the large audience excellent vocal and dance performances.
In the younger division 8-12, the winner was Deanna Lannutti from Farmington who sang “Ashes.” First runner-up was Elise Pinkerton of Fayetteville who sang “This is Me.” Lannutti received a trophy and a check for $100, and Pinkerton received a check for $75.
Others making a good showing were: singers Tarun and Larun Venkataraman from Bentonville, Jackson and Jasmine Ray of Cane Hill who sang a cappella, and Tesa Pack of Lincoln, also a vocalist.
The 13-17 division winners were the Remingtons: Rylee, Hannah, and Lauren, who accompanied themselves, and Kaitlyn Hutchinson who presented a clogging performance. The Remingtons received a trophy and a check for $100, while Hutchinson was given a check for $75.
Others in the older division were Molly Hutchins of Lincoln, who sang and played the guitar; Izzy Kapity of Lincoln who performed a dance; and Lane Bunnell, who sang his own composition and accompanied himself on the guitar.
The packed house gave all the talented performers a loud chorus of applause.
