— The first version of Corum’s well-known Golden Bridge, launched in 1980, was barrel shaped. Last year the brand introduced a round Golden Bridge. Baselworld brought a third case shape, a rectangle, in the Golden Bridge Rectangle, designed by Dino Modolo. As with the earlier Golden Bridges, this one’s linear, manually wound movement is visible through the dial. e barrel can be seen at 6 o’clock; the balance at 12. e movement, Caliber CO113, is flanked on both sides by 18k-gold segments arranged to form six Roman numerals. Two long, vertical, curved gold segments, studded with rivets, bring to mind a pair of bridges. e case is made of 5N rose gold and is 42.2 mm long and 29.5 mm wide. Non-reflective sapphire crystals cover the front and back. Price: $36,900.
