— To bet­ter sup­port min­ers, Chopard in­tro­duced the Fairmined Project in part­ner­ship with the South Amer­i­can NGO Al­liance for Re­spon­si­ble Min­ing (ARM) in 2013 as a new “Jour­ney to Sus­tain­able Lux­ury.” e Chopard L.U.C XPS Twist QF Fairmined watch is the lat­est ex­ten­sion of this prod­uct fam­ily and is avail­able as a lim­ited edition of 250 pieces. e slate gray dial comes with a sun­burst pat­tern in­spired by the tex­ture of gold nuggets, and has an off­set sec­onds sub­dial.

e 40-mm watch is pow­ered by L.U.C Cal­iber 96.09-L with mi­cro-ro­tor and cer­ti­fied by the Fleurier Qual­ity Foun­da­tion; the power re­serve is 65 hours. e gold case of­fers a wa­ter re­sis­tance of 30 me­ters; the price is $18,480.
