Bul­gari has made a habit in re­cent years of break­ing horo­log­i­cal records at Basel­world, by in­tro­duc­ing the world’s thinnest tour­bil­lon in 2014 and thinnest minute re­peater in 2016, for ex­am­ple. e watch-and-jew­elry brand shat­tered an­other such record this year with the Octo Finis­simo Au­to­matic — just 5.15 mm thin, it’s the slimmest self-wind­ing watch on the mar­ket.
