If you ask any Disney foodie to list their favorite Epcot snacks, chances are at least one of them would come from Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie. Nestled in the back of the France Pavilion, the newly revamped Les Halles is a must eat destination. From decadent desserts, to perfect pastries, to savory quiches, there is something to fulfill any craving. But, by far the best offering at Les Halles is their signature Mousse au Chocolat (Chocolate Mousse).
The genius of this incredible treat is in its simplicity. Rich chocolate is whipped into a fluffy mousse. Each individual cup is topped with even more chocolate and candy balls. That’s it. As a chocolate lover, this is my own personal favorite. I’m not embarrassed to admit that I once had it for breakfast.
Recreating this beloved Disney snack is easy to do at home. You don’t have to attend a fancy French culinary school to learn unique skills. You don’t have to travel the world in search of rare ingredients. You don’t have to spend hours slaving away in the kitchen to create it. It only requires 4 ingredients, a handful of steps, and a little bit of patience. Even the most novice cook can pull this one off.
