There’s so much to do at Walt Disney World. Day or night, you have your choice of plenty of options. But did you know that nighttime at Disney Springs offers many experiences that are completely different than daytime?

Disney Springs has really sprung to life, literally, with the expansion and transition from Downtown Disney. There are currently 110 shopping locations, 54 dining options, and 13 entertainment options, as it has nearly doubled in size.

A variety of entertainment experiences take place at Marketplace Stage. Just outside of the World of Disney, you can groove to a DJ Kids Dance party, see live performances, and enjoy special concerts beside the water. This location often celebrates school-age bands and choirs as guest performers throughout the year. Be sure to check out the marquee in front of the stage for daily entertainment information. The water-side location makes for a great evening backdrop and is the perfect place to unwind after a day of shopping.

If you love Latin music, head to Paradiso 37 Entertainment. The “37” in Paradiso 37 represents the 37 countries found throughout North, Central, and South America. If you are a tequila fan, they have over 50 kinds. Entertainment here consists of live music, DJS, and, of course, dancing. How could you not dance when Latin music is apart of the equation? Live music starts at 5:00 PM and continues until closing.

Raglan Road features live Irish music on its patio stage from late afternoon until around 1:00 AM most days. If you don’t want to sit outside (or the weather isn’t favorable), don’t worry; their main stage is just as lively, seven days a week. The menu is as tempting as the entertainment. If you want to get a sense of the atmosphere before you go, head straight to the official Raglan Road website, you won’t be disappointed.

Live entertainment can be found in Riverboat Square, located just outside Portobello Country Italian Trattoria (which is closed for refurbishment until Fall 2017) and Paddlefish. It’s a nice area to hang out as you wait for your dinner reservations, or something to consider enjoying after a nice meal as the evening arrives.

Waterview Park gets its name from the beautiful water view of Lake Buena Vista. The open amphitheater features a variety of entertainment from approximately 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM, depending on the season. You don’t really need to plan ahead for this venue—just stop by and enjoy!

Springs Overlook is exactly what it sounds like, an outdoor venue that overlooks the Town Center at Disney Springs. Entertainment lasts about 30 minutes per performance and varies. It is subject to be cancelled without notice due to weather or time of year.

If it’s raining or you’re not in the mood for music, head to AMC Movies at Disney Springs 24 for some evening entertainment. You can even have dinner right at your seat in the theater!

Soar 400 feet above Disney Springs, checking out views up to 10 miles away in a tethered balloon at Character in Flight. The balloon accepts guests from early morning until around midnight most days. The views at night are completely different than during the day. If you time your flight right, you might even get a glimpse of the fireworks at Epcot. Current prices are $20 for adults and $15 for children.

The hour and a half performance of Cirque Du Soleil: La Nouba will have you “oohing” and “aahhhing” long after the show ends. Acrobats, trapeze artists, jugglers, and more, create the talented cast of this amazing, colorful theatrical show. La Nouba is appropriate for the entire family; my 3-year-old was in awe the entire time. Performances take place most Tuesdays through Saturdays at 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Don’t wait, if you’ve ever wanted to

see this spectacular show—the final performance is December 31, 2017.

You have your choice of a variety of tempting food trucks at Exposition Park. From around 7:00 PM until approximately 11:00 PM (exact times may vary, depending on time of year). Entertainment consists of DJS, contemporary bands, and more. Plus, food. That always makes for a great combination.

House of Blues is the place to be for serious music lovers. Enjoy delicious food and a variety of live entertainment as you eat. World-famous musicians, as well as rising stars, also give concerts in the performance hall for an additional fee.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes isn’t your typical bowling alley. The lanes are sectioned off into groups, and it almost feels like you are attending a private party! The atmosphere is fun, and the food is good too. With two floors of fun, live music, dancing, and two sushi bars—you can’t go wrong.

Sunshine Highline is a partially shaded outdoor venue with a nice view. The music here tends to be more eclectic, featuring instruments such as a didgeridoo, as well as classic instruments. Although you can find music during the afternoon here, evening

entertainment starts around 7:00 PM and continues through 10:30 PM most evenings, with slightly later hours on the weekends.

When the sun goes down, consider taking the family to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways or Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. Located beside the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf offers a spectacular view of The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. You can find Winter Summerland Miniature Golf just outside of Disney’s Blizzard Beach. There are two fun courses here, one is winter-themed, and the other is summer. Both golf courses are open until around 11:00 PM (although the time may vary, depending on the season). Due to the powerful Florida sun, visiting the miniature golf courses at night is a lot more relaxing and enjoyable.

There are many other nighttime experiences throughout Walt Disney World. For great things to do at night on Disney’s Boardwalk, for example, make sure you see our article on Resorts.

There’s a lot of fun outside of the Walt Disney World theme parks. Disney Springs offers great opportunities to explore on your day off from the parks, in the evening, or even as a day before your Walt Disney World vacation “officially” starts. Not all of the magic is happening inside of the Disney theme parks. Some of the best magic lies in the world around you, while wandering around Disney Springs at night.
