Char­lotte Sue Evans Atkins

Char­lotte Sue Evans Atkins, 74, of Gen­try, died July 19, 2017, at her home.

She was born July 30, 1942, in Garfield, to Woodrow Evans and Martha Schoo­ley Evans. She was mar­ried to Jack Atkins for 58 years. Char­lotte was a film pro­ces­sor for a Ben­tonville photo lab and was a farmer of dairy and live­stock.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; and a son, Josh Atkins.

Sur­vivors in­clude her hus­band, Jack Atkins of the home; sons, Rick Atkins and wife Tammy of Col­cord, Okla., and Kyle Atkins and wife An­ge­lena of Gen­try; a daugh­ter, Rhonda Atkins of Gen­try; and two grand­chil­dren.

Fu­neral ser­vice was at 2 p.m., Mon­day, July 24, at Was­son Fu­neral Home, Siloam Springs. Burial was to fol­low in Gen­try Ceme­tery, Gen­try. Ar­range­ments were by Was­son Fu­neral Home, Siloam Springs. Jean (El­dred) Mitchell

Jean (El­dred) Mitchell, 79, for­merly of Sul­phur Springs, died July 17, 2017, in Frisco, Texas.

She was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Sul­phur Springs, to Ben and Martha (McAr­tor) El­dred. She was a stew­ardess with Bran­iff Air­lines for many years.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Keith; son Michael; and two broth­ers-in-law, Ken­neth Mitchell and Rus­sell Korf.

She is sur­vived by two broth­ers, R.H. “Rocky” (Vir­ginia) El­dred of Bella Vista, and W.B. “Bill” (Glenda) El­dred of Gravette; four sis­ters, Jo (Carol) Crom, Gar­land, Texas; Eve­lyn El­dred of Low­ell; Lu­cia Tay­lor of Bran­don Fla.; An­nette (Tom) Hughes of Alamo, Texas; two sis­ters-in-law, Dar­lene Korf and Dorothy Mitchell, both of Yuma, Colo.

In­ter­ment will be in the GAR ceme­tery, Sul­phur Springs. Ar­range­ments are by Stone­briar Fu­neral Home, Frisco, Texas. Robert Dean Moor­man

Robert Dean Moor­man, 68, of Sul­phur Springs, died July 13, 2017, while trav­el­ing in Ketchikan, Alaska.

He was born in Salina, Kan., on July 1, 1949, to Ken­neth Dean Moor- man and Vera Ber­nice Frick. The fam­ily moved to Sul­phur Springs in 1960. Robert grad­u­ated from Gravette High School in 1967 and re­ceived his so­ci­ol­ogy de­gree from Arkansas Tech in 1972. He was a mem­ber of the Sul­phur Springs Methodist Church and was ac­tively in­volved in the Gravette School District. He was an avid Ra­zor­back fan and loved watch­ing the Gravette Lions. He worked for Sun­dancer Homes in Noel, Mo., for 15 years. In 1985, he be­gan rais­ing chick­ens and cat­tle and re­cently re­tired.

He is pre­ceded in death by his fa­ther, Ken­neth; and a daugh­ter, Robin Kim­berly.

He is sur­vived by his wife and com­pan­ion of 34 years, Teresa Williams; his mother, Vera of Sul­phur Springs; sons, Tracy and wife Jen­nifer of Gravette, and Colton of Gravette; a daugh­ter, Whit­ney and hus­band Jeremy Sharp of Spring­dale; six grand­chil­dren, Bryce, Brady and Ella Moor­man of Gravette, Abbey Brown of War­ren, Okla., Rem­ing­ton and Wes­son Sharp of Spring­dale; and one sis­ter, Brenda and hus­band Dan Yates of Sul­phur Springs.

Fu­neral ser­vices were July 22 at Bella Vista Fu­neral Home Chapel, Bella Vista. Burial fol­lowed at the But­ler Creek Ceme­tery in Sul­phur Springs. Ar­range­ments were by Bella Vista Fu­neral Home, Bella Vista. Dwight D. Philpott

Dwight D. Philpott, 66, of Gen­try, died July 18, 2017, at his home.

He was born April 20, 1951, in Ben­tonville, to Wil­liam “Ben” Philpott and Goldie Fay Ruther­ford Philpott. He mar­ried Emma Jo and she pre­ceded him in death. He and Danna Ford were mar­ried for more than 20 years.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; first wife; four sis­ters; and seven broth­ers.

Sur­vivors in­clude his wife, Danna of the home; daugh­ter, Maisie Var­nell and hus­band Rob of Pine Bluff; six grand­chil­dren; one great-grand­child; sis­ters, Wilma Hayes and hus­band Carl of Sul­phur Springs, and Carol Miller of South­west City, Mo.; broth­ers, Lan­nie Philpott and wife Linda of Tulsa, Okla., Lon­nie Philpott and wife Bar­bara of Kansas, Okla., and Dwayne Philpott and wife Ann of Pine Bluff; sis­ters-in-law Shirley Philpott of Gen­try and Maggie Philpott of Sul­phur Springs.

Memo­rial ser­vices were Fri­day, July 21, at Was­son Memo­rial Chapel, Siloam Springs.
