Gravette falls to Booneville, 28-13

GRAVETTE — The Gravette Lions scored their first touch­down and point af­ter in the third quar­ter and added an­other TD in the fi­nal quar­ter, but that was not enough to beat the vis­it­ing Bearcats from Booneville who scored early in the first quar­ter, added two more TDs in the third and a fourth in the fi­nal quar­ter to take the game, 28-13, on Fri­day night in Lion Sta­dium.

Austin O’Brien, se­nior run­ning back, car­ried one in and Brady Moor­man, also a se­nior, caught a pass for Gravette’s only touch­downs on Fri­day. Flo­rian Auf­den­blat­ten, a se­nior, kicked one point af­ter be­tween the posts. Gravette’s first touch­down came on a 45-yard Ta­jae White pass to Moor­man with Booneville up, 13-0.

Gravette had a to­tal of 144 rush­ing yards on 23 car­ries in the game. O’Brien car­ried 13 times for 85 yards for the Lions. Ta­jae White, a ju­nior and Gravette’s quar­ter­back, ran for 53 yards on nine car­ries.

Moor­man and Bran­don Bal­lard, both se­niors, caught five passes for a to­tal of 83 yards and one touch­down against a tough Booneville de­fense. White was five for 12 in pass­ing on Fri­day night.

O’Brien and Moor­man also led in tack­les, cred­ited with 23 each. O’Brien had 17 solo tack­les and six as­sists. Moor­man had nine so­los and 14 as­sists. Ken­ton Ta­jch­man, a se­nior, had seven and 10.
